Koa & Kind candles are handcrafted using 100% natural soy wax, free from paraffin and harmful additives. We use high-quality, phthalate-free fragrance oils and natural wood wicks for a clean, even burn. Our focus is on creating safe, non-toxic home fragrances that enhance your space while being mindful of the environment.

2. Do you offer local pickup?
Yes! We offer free local pickup in Milton, Ontario. Simply use code LOCALPICKUP at checkout, and we’ll notify you when your order is ready.

3. Where can I find Koa & Kind products in stores?

5. What is 'organic' soy wax?
We use 100% natural soy wax, which means it is free from paraffin, dyes, and synthetic additives. Our waxes are considered organic under the traditional meaning of “natural” or “from nature,” though they are not certified organic. While our soy wax is not certified organic, it is made from sustainably sourced soybeans and is considered a cleaner, safer alternative to traditional candle waxes.

6. What are the benefits of wood wicks?
Wood wicks provide a clean, even burn with a soft crackling sound, creating a cozy atmosphere. They also help candles burn more efficiently, producing less soot compared to traditional cotton wicks.

7. Are your fragrances safe?
Yes! We are committed to using high-quality, phthalate-free fragrance oils. Phthalates are commonly used in fragrance oils to help scents last longer, but they have been linked to potential health concerns. By choosing phthalate-free oils, we ensure that our candles provide a cleaner and safer home fragrance experience without compromising on quality or scent throw.

8. How do I get the best burn from my candle?
To ensure an even burn and maximize your candle’s lifespan:

  • Gently remove charred bits of wood before each use.
  • Allow the wax to melt across the entire surface on the first burn to prevent tunnelling.
  • Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time.

Care & Usage

9. How long do your candles last?
Our candles are designed for long-lasting enjoyment. Burn times vary by size:

  • 8 oz candles: ~30+ hours
  • Reed Diffusers: ~3-6 months
  • Wax melts: ~8-10 hours per cube

10. How should I care for my reed diffuser?
For best results:

  • Place your diffuser in a well-ventilated area.
  • Flip the reeds every 1-2 weeks for a stronger scent throw.

11. Do you accept returns?
Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns. However, if there’s an issue with your order, please contact us, and we’ll be happy to help!

12. How long does shipping take?
Orders typically ship within 3-5 business days. Delivery times vary depending on your location.

13. Can I customize a candle?
At this time, we do not offer custom candle scents. However, we do offer personalized labels for special events and gifts. Contact us for more details!

14. What are the shipping options?

We use Canada Post, UPS and Chit Chats as our shipping companies. You will get two shipping options upon checkout.

  • Canada: Regular Parcel or Expedited
  • United States: Small Packet USA Air or Tracked Packet USA 
  • United Kingdom & International: Small Packet International Air or Tracked Packet International

15. What are the international taxes and duties I have to pay?
